Tincture-Making Class
Wed, July 11th, 2007, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Instructors: Ashlee Bodo and Deanna Gabriel
Join us and learn how to make tinctures from those plants you've been growing and/or harvesting this summer. We will cover different methods of tincturing, including fresh plant, dry plant, glycerites, percolation, and more! Cost: $25. Checks payable to Ashlee or Deanna.

The Medicinal Herb Garden

Instructor: Ashlee Bodo
Did you know that you can create a small pharmacy with just a few easy-to grow plants in your own garden? Certified clinical herbalist and gardener Ashlee Bodo will share basic tips for growing, harvesting and using some medicinal herbs including lavender, lemon balm, chamomile, calendula, thyme and the mints. Cost: $20. Checks payable to Ashlee.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Deanna Gabriel for earning certificates in Clinical Herbalism and Clinical Nutrition from the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism. These certificates are in addition to her B.A. with a double-major in Biology and Public Relations. Deanna has worked hard to become so well-educated, and we are very proud of her!

Congratulations to our long-time loyal and extremely helpful apprentice, Cat Boyer, pictured above skillfully filling shea butter tins. Cat is getting married on June 17. We wish her a lifetime of happiness with her new husband!

Congratulations also to former employee Sarah Dorninger and her husband Eric on their baby, Phoenix Ray, born 11/12/06.
